Shakespeare lives up to all the accolades of the Gypsy Vanner breed! He is quiet, fearless, enjoys people, and of course, he's stunning. Perfect for kids/husbands in and out of the saddle, Shakespeare is truly one of a kind.
The Ultimate Kid-Safe Gypsy Vanner!
Solid-colored Gypsies are rare, and Shakespeare's beautiful black coat, thick mane, and tail make him a standout. Historically, solid colors were bred out of the Gypsy Vanners during the wars to prevent confiscation by the military, which favored these horses for their bravery and disposition. This is why most Gypsy Vanners today are either Piebalds (black and white) or Skewbalds (red and white). Shakespeare, however, retains that stunning solid black color, making him exceptionally unique.
